Corapi Bags Lead of Final 44 in Day 1A

A total of 143 came out to play 1A, the first of three flights of the WPT Playground Championship. A total of 10 levels were played and at days’ end and 44 advanced to Day 2 which will take place on Sunday, October 27th.
Leading the way of the survivors is Giuseppe Corapi who bagged up 401,000. Rounding out the podium are Zak Vankeuren (370,500) and Tommy Nguyen (342,500).

One former WPT champions club member survived as Darren Elias ended his day with 193,000 in his quest to win a fifth title.
Those who did not bag this flight will have an opportunity to play in Day 1B and Day 1C which will occur over the following two days at 11:00 AM. Registration will remain open in the tournament until the start of Day 2, where blinds will be returning to 1,500/2,500 with a 2,500 big blind ante.
